I will probably regret setting this up

I was inspired by Lewis Black’s “Root of All Evil” show, and pounced on the opportunity. I am stupidly amused that I got this name. Although I’m kind of excited about the potential, I wouldn’t *usually* refer to myself as a douche bag. Case in point:

• I’m not a guy
• I’m not from New Jersey
• I’ve never worn Axe body spray (or as my friend Julie called it when she taught school “Headache In a Can.”)
• I have never experienced the “Axe effect,” and I doubt its existence.
• I do not own, have not watched, and don’t appear in any “Girls Gone Wild” videos.
• I’ve never used the word “poonani” in a verbal or written sentence (until now)

Meanwhile, in trying to define where to take this little segue, the Urban Dictionary has introduced me to the idea of a “douchebaguette”. The definition being: The female is noted for her giant sunglasses, fake tan, and penchant for designer items. It is unlikely I will effectively develop these affectations while slumming through Europe, but you know what they say. Never say never…

Perhaps this will be the appropriate home of my alter ego and inner douchebaguette? Let the games begin…
